Santa Monica Partner John W. Amberg co-authored an article for the April issue of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine that reviews significant developments in California legal ethics during the past year. Now in its 15th year, Amberg’s annual ethics roundup addresses such issues as disqualification, attorney-client privilege, technology, statutes of limitation and malpractice.
Amberg is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Class Action, and Product Liability Client Service Groups, and is chair of the firmwide Ethics Committee. He has tried and arbitrated cases throughout California and serves as an expert witness on professional liability and legal ethics matters. He is a former chair of the California State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct and a former chair and current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee.
