William Hibsher has experience litigating trial and appellate matters in federal and state courts and before arbitration tribunals involving a variety of industries. He has litigated numerous matters on behalf of financial institutions and he has conducted internal investigations for financial institutions in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Hibsher’s commercial litigation experience includes real estate matters, corporate acquisitions, co-operatives and condominiums, regulatory oversight and insurance. His practice also includes copyright and trademark litigation concerning a variety of industries—apparel, toys, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, media.
Having served as Chief of the U.S. Attorneys Office’s Civil Rights Unit, Mr. Hibsher has represented many clients in civil rights matters, including employment, fair housing, fair credit, and in response to civil rights investigations conducted by government agencies.
Mr. Hibsher serves as a member of the Federal Arbitration Panel of the Eastern District of New York since 1986. After leaving the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York in 1982, Mr. Hibsher practiced in the firm of Teitelbaum, Hiller, Rodman, Paden & Hibsher, P.C., until its dissolution in 1996.
