Ms. Althauser prepares and negotiates agreements for the development of software, pharmaceutical products and other healthcare-related technologies, agricultural products, websites, and other technologies. In addition, she has significant experience in licensing patent rights, trade secrets, software, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. She assists clients with acquiring and transferring intellectual property, both in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions and stand-alone transactions.
In addition, as a registered patent attorney with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry, Ms. Althauser prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the fields of computer-implemented methodologies, medical devices, biotechnology, and mechanical devices. She assists client with the management of their intellectual property portfolios, prosecutes and procures U.S. trademark rights, manages foreign patent and trademark prosecution matters, and has represented clients in connection with proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board.
