James E. Havel is a member of the firm’s Transactions, Corporate Finance and Technology, Entrepreneurial and Commercial practice groups. He previously served as a Summer Associate to Bryan Cave, as well as to a national litigation and business law firm.
Mr. Havel regularly advises clients on all issues related to gaming laws, offering particular experience in compliance counseling related to sports betting laws and solving legal issues related to daily fantasy sports.
Mr. Havel graduated with honors from the Washington University School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor on the Washington University Jurisprudence Review.
Before attending law school, Mr. Havel worked in professional politics as a political coordinator for Governor Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. He also served in a similar capacity during Senator Roy Blunt’s 2010 U.S. Senate campaign.
