Domenico Di Pietro has a wealth of experience in arbitration, having represented major corporations and sovereign states in international commercial and investment treaty disputes, both ad hoc and those administered by institutions.
He is also highly regarded for his academic contribution to international arbitration, lecturing and writing extensively on international commercial and investment treaty disputes. A number of his publications have been cited by courts and tribunals in several jurisdictions worldwide.
In addition, Domenico is a founding member of ArbIt, the Italian Forum for Arbitration and ADR; a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators, Corporation of London.
His experience includes over two years in Tokyo on secondment to a Japanese multinational , where he dealt with a wide range of arbitrations in a variety of sectors, including construction, energy and financial services.
Qualified to practice in England and Wales as well as in Italy, Domenico is fluent in English, has working knowledge of French and Spanish and speaks some Japanese, in addition to his native Italian.
