As a member of Bryan Cave’s Technology, Entrepreneurial and Commercial group, Mr. Achatz advises clients on the licensing and transfer of intellectual property and high technology. He also provides legal solutions to businesses, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, regarding distribution and resale arrangements, professional service agreements, open source compliance, and data acquisition and commercialization.
Mr. Achatz’s data privacy and security practice involves advising his clients on industry-specific regulations and standards that govern the responsible use, collection, and management of their customers’ personal information. His experience also includes developing company policies and drafting and implementing privacy- and security-related compliance, strategies, and programs. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
Mr. Achatz served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Jack Berryhill. Prior to law school, Mr. Achatz worked as a software engineer for a large technology consulting company.
