Christopher Fisher’s practice focuses primarily in the banking and real estate areas with an emphasis in commercial lending, commercial and multi-family real estate development, asset-based lending and commercial leasing. Mr. Fisher represents lenders and borrowers in developing, negotiating and drafting loan documentation. He represents real estate developers in negotiating and drafting development agreements and documentation, including commercial, single family and condominium development. Mr. Fisher represents national and regional lenders in securitized loan transactions, portfolio financings, golf course financings and other complex commercial lending transactions.
Mr. Fisher has experience in representation of real estate developers in zoning, development, financing, construction and other real estate matters. He also represents private owners and non-profit entities in multifamily acquisition, sale, refinance and preservation. Mr. Fisher represents regional, national and international lending institutions in a wide variety of commercial loan transactions. He has experience in the representation of regional, national and international entities in commercial lease transactions. Mr. Fisher also has represented local and regional housing and redevelopment authorities in acquisition transactions, technical assistance and as outside general counsel.
Mr. Fisher was formerly a certified Minnesota arbitrator. He is published on the topic of conflict management and theory in the area of Major League Baseball labor relations. He currently works with the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission in connection with Kansas City professional sports franchises. He is a member of the real estate and business law sections of the American Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and Minnesota State Bar Association.
