Cécile Terret is an associate in the dispute resolution team in Paris.

Cécile Terret’s practice includes advising large French and international companies on civil, commercial or corporate litigation, in addition to matters relating to white collar crime or bankruptcy before the French courts, particularly in relation to the hotel and aviation industries sectors.

Ms. Terret’s practice also includes cross-border international trade (import an export) and regulatory compliance questions as well as data protection questions.  She counsels clients in their application for import and export licenses.  She also advises clients on EU and French data protection and privacy law compliance, as well as issues related to transfer of data outside the European Union.

Cecile is also an expert on the new Sapin II act, which was recently passed into law in France and significantly strengthens French anti-corruption legislation and powers of investigation. Cecile is one of the few private practice lawyers studying compliance with anti-corruption regulations at the Panthéon-Assas university in order to support clients in designing programs to minimize the risks associated with the new legal framework that French companies and international businesses operating in France are now subject to.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a Taiwanese electronic components manufacturer before French Courts against a French IP/TV Solutions provider in connection with allegedly defective supplied products.
  • Represented a US hotel company in a long running case before the Mixed Commercial Court of Papeete concerning an alleged breach of an agreement.
  • Represented a large hotel and leisure company in relation to a hotel management dispute with the owners of luxury hotels in Tahiti, before the local Court of Appeal.
  • Represented the subsidiary of an international hotel company before the Criminal Chamber of the District Court of Draguignan subject to a subpoena in relation to an alleged violation of a building permit.
  • Represented a US aviation company before the Commercial Court of Paris and the Financial Department of the Court of First Instance of Paris concerning non-payment of air flight taxes.
  • Represented a leading Russian airline company before the Paris Court of Appeal against concerning non-payment of air flight taxes.
