Bryan Cave opened its first office outside of St. Louis in Washington, DC, recognizing its importance as a regulatory, legislative and judicial center. Our lawyers in Washington counsel and advocate on behalf of our local, national and global clients.
A number of client service groups are based out of Washington: our nationally recognized tax credits group, led by Jerry Breed; White Collar and Securities Litigation, led by Mark Srere; Antitrust and Competition led by Phil Bartz and Rebecca Nelson and Public Policy, led by Dave Russell. There are significant international trade and commercial litigation practices in the Washington office as well as a variety of federal regulatory practices to support our national and global clients.
Maintaining a “One Firm” approach is one of our core values. Consistent with that approach, our lawyers in Washington work as part of an integrated team of more than 900 lawyers serving clients’ needs in the world’s key business and financial markets.
The Firm recognizes the value in making a difference in our communities and society. Our Washington lawyers are deeply involved in pro bono efforts, both locally and Firmwide, and in community service. The Washington office actively supports the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia and the YWCA of the National Capital Area, among others.
