Phoenix Managing Partner Jay Zweig will co-present Jan. 25 at the Clear Group’s Employer FLMA Education Seminar. The event will address challenges regarding administering Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policies and maintaining compliance with the law, as well as provide a thorough legal-based review of the act.
Discussion topics will include employer and employee responsibilities under FMLA; determining eligibility and entitlement; employer and employee notice requirements; military protections; medical certifications; intermittent leave administration; and state leave protections.
Zweig practices employment law and commercial litigation. He represents private businesses, public corporations and governments in avoiding and resolving employment law disputes. Zweig has more than 25 years of experience representing employers in matters related to human resources, preventing and defending lawsuits related to contracts and non-compete agreements, sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour law, class action, FMLA, OSHA, and workers' comp bad faith issues.
