Christian Zust, director of Bryan Cave’s Client Technology Group, has received ILTA’s Young Professional of the Year award. The award was presented Aug. 30 at ILTA’s 7th Annual Peer Awards Program.
ILTA – the International Legal Technology Association – uses its annual Distinguished Peer Awards program to recognize ILTA members who have delivered great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations. The Young Professional of the Year award goes to an individual 35 or younger who has demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership, and is a role model for others within their organization.
Zust first served as part of a traditional legal team when he joined Bryan Cave in 2010. Later, he managed large-scale eDiscovery reviews as part of the firm’s Accelerated Review Team before moving to the Practice Economics Group. While in PEG, he helped successfully manage a portfolio of over 10,000 cases applying tools and techniques rarely seen in law. Zust joined the firm’s Client Technology Group in early 2015, where he now leads Bryan Cave’s research into new technologies and development of technology-augmented solutions to deliver efficient, cost-effective service to clients that improve the legal service delivery model. To date, Zust is the only person at Bryan Cave to have been in all three of the firm’s groups structured to innovate in legal service delivery.
