Boulder Partner David Zetoony will present at the Colorado Bar Association’s Business Law Institute 2016, Sept. 15-16 in Denver, Colo. The seminar will provide attendees with updates on the latest developments and trends in case law, legislation, rules and regulations.
The program, co-sponsored by the Business Law and Tax Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association, will have six plenary sessions followed by 21 optional breakout sessions. Zetoony will lead a Sept. 15 breakout session, “What Business Lawyers Need to Know When Advising Their Business Clients About Data Breaches.” He will discuss how to reduce the risk of data breaches and mitigate harm as well as what constitutes reasonable security.
Other breakout session topics will include top antitrust cases and trends in 2016, purchasing assets out of bankruptcy, top cross-border legal issues, and the ins and outs of financial covenants in loan agreements, among other discussions.
Zetoony is the leader of the firm’s global Data Privacy and Security Team. He has extensive experience advising clients on how to comply with state and federal privacy, security and advertising laws, representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission, and defending national class actions. He frequently speaks and writes on data security and privacy issues.
