Boulder Partner Mark Weakley presented May 5 at the Rocky Mountain Securities Conference in Denver, Colo. The conference was presented by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Colorado Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

Weakley was a panel member of the “Investment Advisers and Private Funds” breakout session, which covered hot topics and current issues. Other panels discussed current trends in securities and white collar defense, capital formation for small business, industry developments and the SEC’s National Examination, accounting and audit issues, and more.

Weakley is co-leader of Bryan Cave’s Fund Formation Team. He has substantial experience advising sponsors and managers on the formation and operation of U.S. and offshore private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds and other pooled investment vehicles.

Weakley is also the leader of the firm's Technology, Entrepreneurial & Commercial Client Service Group. His representation focuses on venture financing, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance for technology companies. He also regularly represents venture capital funds in their portfolio company investments and other transactions.
