Chicago Partner Brent Vincent will co-present Dec. 18 at the Colorado Bar Association’s lunch program, “Overcoming Hurdles to Insurance Recovery for Legacy Environmental Liabilities,” hosted by Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Denver office.
The program will feature environmental and insurance practitioners with practical tips and best practices for seeking insurance recovery for environmental liabilities, focusing on national trends as well as Colorado law. Presenters will cover topics such as notice, choice of law, coverage triggers, insurance archaeology, malpractice pitfalls, and how to overcome standard insurance defenses, among other hot topics in insurance recovery law.
The event is sponsored by the Environmental Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. The CBA’s Environmental Law Section has approximately 450 members throughout Colorado, and is led by an 18-member Advisory Council that includes members from the EPA, U.S. Department of Justice, Colorado Attorney General’s Office, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Denver City Attorney’s Office, Denver Water, industry and law firms.
Vincent specializes in litigating environmental, insurance, land use and litigation matters. He also frequently counsels clients on insurance and eminent domain issues, as well as on environmental regulatory issues and the environmental aspects of real estate and corporate transactions.
