Atlanta Partner Eric Schroeder has been quoted in numerous media outlets concerning our representation of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), which was sued recently by an inventor whose patents were the subject of a monthly EFF feature called “Stupid Patent of the Month.” Schroeder said the EFF article was “clearly subjective opinion and hyperbole” protected by the First Amendment. San Francisco Partner Roger Myers also represented EFF in the matter. The case was featured June 3 and 5 by Ars Technica; June 3 by Corporate Counsel; June 5 by Law360; and Jun 4 by the ABA Journal.
