Bryan Cave’s Los Angeles office will host a LA CFOs event Nov. 15 featuring a presentation by Scott Hamilton, partner with accounting firm CohnReznick, on best practices for leveraging research and development tax credits.
Based in Los Angeles, Hamilton has 18 years of experience as a corporate tax adviser and holds a corporate tax leadership role within the Research & Development (R&D) Group at CohnReznick. He has significant experience serving public and private companies with international and domestic operations and across numerous industries including manufacturing, aerospace, medical and life sciences, software development, gaming and high technology. He utilizes his experience in R&D tax credits to assist clients with IRS and state audit matters, including orphan drug credits, Section 174 and Section 199 deductions, tangible property regulations, cost segregation, fixed asset outsourcing, and meal and entertainment deductions.
