Los Angeles Partner Jed White and Associates Nicole Gates and Christopher Kunke will lead a CLE panel discussion for the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Southern California Chapter on Oct. 8 at the historic Culver Hotel.

The presentation, “Managing Your Corporate Presence Online: An Overview of Key Considerations, Strategies, and Risks,” covers a variety of risk exposures in the fast-changing area of the Internet. Topics include how to enforce arbitration provisions in online terms of use, address concerns related to corporate social media accounts and comply with consumer protection laws when advertising online.

White defends class actions and other complex actions brought against companies in the banking, financial services, title insurance, mortgage and retail industries. He has experience with litigation issues confronting large and small companies, having defended numerous class and complex actions through all stages of the litigation process. In addition, White handles arbitration proceedings, franchise litigation and product liability litigation.

Gates focuses her practice on commercial transactions and related corporate matters for a variety of clients. She has experience drafting business agreements, particularly related to advertising, social media, websites and privacy concerns. Her practice also includes work in franchise and distribution law.

Kunke is a member of the firm’s Technology, Entrepreneurial, and Commercial Practice, focusing on licensing, commercial contracts and related corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney at a multinational toy retailer, where he negotiated and drafted invention license agreements and information technology contracts.
