St. Louis Partner Cullen Kuhn will present at the Missouri Independent Bankers Association’s 40th Annual Convention & Exhibition, Sept. 11-13 in Lake Ozark, Mo. The convention includes programs on a variety of topics, including bank regulatory issues, developments in connection with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and treatment of borrower defaults. Kuhn will address recent developments in bankruptcy and other restructuring matters through his participation in the “Legal Eagle” panel and discussion, which covers hot legal topics in community banking.
Kuhn’s practice includes a wide range of issues related to distressed businesses and financial restructurings. He regularly represents borrowers and secured and unsecured lenders as well as trade and other creditors in all types of insolvency matters, including litigation in federal and state courts and related appeals. He has served as counsel to large Chapter 11 debtors in various jurisdictions, including both pre-packaged and pre-arranged bankruptcy filings. In addition, he regularly counsels corporate officers and directors regarding fiduciary duties in situations of financial distress and advises banks and other secured lenders on issues related to lender liability and best practices.
