Bryan Cave’s Irvine office will host the Orange County Lavender Bar Association’s Harvey Milk Day Luncheon on May 19. Harvey Milk Day honors Harvey Milk, who became the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in California when he won a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977.
Amira Hashenbush, the Jim Kepner law and policy fellow at the Williams Institute, will present on the elimination of bias. Bryan Cave is a longtime sponsor of the Orange County Lavender Bar Association (OCLBA), and Irvine Partner Julie Patterson is a member of the OCLBA Board of Directors.
Founded in 2010, OCLBA is Orange County’s official association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied attorneys, judges and law students who aim to advance LGBT equality.
