Chicago Partner S. Patrick McKey has been named to the 2013 Irish Legal 100, which recognizes outstanding lawyers of Irish descent from across the nation.
Irish America magazine selects the annual list of winners from law schools, law firms, the judiciary and industry. Past honorees include U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Past honorees from Bryan Cave include New York Partner James Gill and Chicago Partner Donal O’Brien.
McKey’s practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, international business disputes, product liability defense, mass and toxic tort defense, environmental and intellectual property litigation, as well as corporate counseling and public law.
An experienced litigator, McKey has represented clients in numerous state, district and appellate courts throughout the United States, as well as domestic and foreign clients in matters pending before the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association and other arbitral entities. McKey also works closely with clients (regularly as lead counsel) in the defense of class actions and multidistrict litigation in the United States as well as defending claims for clients in Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Ireland, Libya, Korea, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey and the United Kingdom. McKey studied comparative law at the University College Cork (Ireland), Faculty of Law.
