London Counsel Maria Gritsenko will speak June 16 on an International Bar Association (IBA) panel considering the increasing demand for international dispute resolution in the Europe-Caucasus-Asia (ECA) region. Topics will include

  • How to make investment treaty arbitration available to small claim investors, including those in emerging markets
  • Investment treaty arbitration as an instrument to promote the rule of law in emerging markets
  • Criminal law elements in investment treaty arbitration in emerging markets

The IBA ECA Forum provides IBA members with an opportunity to explore emerging legal markets and associated opportunities, while also exposing the topics to a wider international audience.

Gritsenko focuses her practice in commercial litigation and international arbitration. She has extensive international experience having spent several years with leading dispute resolution practices in London, Paris and Washington, D.C. Her experience includes bilateral and multilateral investment treaties arbitration, international commercial arbitration proceedings under a variety of rules, and international commercial litigation before the U.S. and English courts. She also has assisted clients with corporate investigations under the FCPA.
