Bryan Cave will host a sustainable investing seminar in its New York office on Sept. 20 for Climate Week NYC, an annual international summit for driving climate change launched by the Climate Group. The seminar, “New Directions in Sustainable Investing: Using Innovative ESG Metrics to Reinforce the Paris Climate Change Agreement,” will explore improved ways to gauge sustainability leadership and systematically connect financial and ESG metrics (environmental, social, governance) to produce better environmental outcomes. New York Counsel Roberta Gordon will moderate the panel, which also features speakers from Thomson Reuters, Yale University and oekom research Inc.

Gordon’s practice focuses on managing environmental risks in corporate, loan and real estate transactions, environmental insurance and brownfield cleanup. In private practice, she has represented clients on the environmental aspects of business transactions, litigated environmental cases, and counseled clients on environmental compliance and remediation issues.
