Los Angeles Partner Andrew Klungness, Atlanta Partner Sean Christy and Los Angeles Associate Aaron Ginsburg will lead three upcoming CLE panel discussions for the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Southern California Chapter. The team will present “What Really Matters: Picking Battles in Contract Negotiation” on Aug. 2 in Santa Monica, Aug. 3 in Costa Mesa and Aug. 23 in Conejo Valley.
The presentation will analyze how contract provisions can and have impacted real world relationships and discuss how counsel can sharpen their negotiating positions to focus on what terms really matter. The panelists will share useful tips and best practices for drafting, negotiating, and administering technology and commercial contract provisions, covering specific topics such as termination rights, indemnification, amendments and warranties, among others.
Klungness is the leader of the firm’s Commercial Practice Team. His practice focuses primarily on the areas of strategic transactions, complex commercial contracts and commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights. He regularly negotiates and manages outsourcing and other strategic sourcing relationships on behalf of clients.
Christy regularly handles customer-side offshore and onshore outsourcing transactions, including business process outsourcing, information technology outsourcing, application development and maintenance, managed network services, human resources outsourcing, software as a service, strategic project/consulting, and shared services joint venture arrangements.
Ginsburg’s corporate practice covers a broad range of complex transactional and business counseling matters, including business formation and capitalization, venture capital financing, debt financing, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate governance.
