On May 23, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner is hosting, along with LawInSport and Blackstone Chambers, a seminar and book launch on football law. The half-day seminar, which will take place at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Adelaide House in London, will discuss various legal issues in football, including player transfers, agents and politics. Additionally, London Partner Graham Shear and Colorado Springs Partner Steve Smith, two of BCLP’s Sports & Entertainment Practice leaders, will participate on a panel regarding current issues associated with the football transfer market.
Following the seminar, attendees will be able to attend the book launch for Football and the Law (Bloomsbury, May 2018), in which London Partner Graham Shear and Associate Andrew Street have contributed a chapter. Football and the Law is called the “first comprehensive review of the law relating to all aspects of football, including all of the main regulatory and commercial aspects of the sport.”
