Washington, D.C., Associate David Zetoony recently discussed small business data security with Blog Talk Radio. A widely recognized data security specialist, Zetoony offers tips on increasing trust in small businesses by heightening security measures, implementing security plans based on the type of information collected and the method of collection, collecting only necessary information from consumers and better information storage.

The interview request followed the January publication of Data Security Made Simpler, which Zetoony co-authored for the Better Business Bureau (BBB). He also authored an article for the May 2009 issue of Privacy & Data Security Law Journal titled “Ten Ways to Prevent a Data Breach from Breaching a Budget.”

Zetoony represents clients in complex antitrust and consumer protection cases. His practice includes civil litigation before trial courts, arbitrators and appellate courts, as well as responding to regulatory investigations brought by federal and state regulatory agencies including, in particular, the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. He has represented clients in a wide range of industries including the industrial manufacturing industry, the pharmaceutical benefit management industry, jewelry manufacturing and sales industries and other retail sales industries.
