Chicago Partners Nicola Fiordalisi, Kara Cenar and Patrick McKey were highlighted March 10 by American Lawyer for their representation of Italian auto supplier Tecnomatic S.p.A. in a fraud and trade secrets suit against electric motor manufacturer Remy Inc. What began as a small breach-of-warranty dispute has escalated since a former Remy employee gave deposition testimony suggesting that Remy’s $60 million grant application to the Department of Energy in October 2008 included technical materials developed by Tecnomatic. The case has been highlighted by IP Law360, CBS Interactive and other news outlets as well. Irvine Associate Paula Zecchini and Chicago Associates Merili Seale and Donald Cole also are on the case.
