Atlanta Associate Tiffany McKenzie has been elected president-elect of the Out of State Division of the Florida Bar. All of the newly elected officers will be installed July 2016.
In 2016, McKenzie will serve as president-elect under the leadership of President Lawrence Kunin before taking office in July 2017 to serve her one-year term as president of the organization. McKenzie formerly held other leadership positions in the Out-of-State Division, serving as social media chair for the 2012-2013 term, secretary for the 2013-2014 term, and treasurer for the 2014-2015 term. She is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
The Out-of-State Division of the Florida Bar works to represent the interests of those members and keep them informed on relevant issues by monitoring legislative and bar proposals, to promote professionalism and competence of its members, and to provide networking and resource opportunities for its members.
McKenzie focuses her practice on estate planning and administration, family wealth transfer tax planning, succession planning and fiduciary litigation. She assists clients with their pre-death estate planning and wealth preservation through the creation of wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts (including irrevocable insurance trusts, intentionally defective irrevocable grantor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, private annuity sales to grantor trusts and installment sale transactions to grantor trusts), and the use of lifetime gifting. McKenzie has helped clients further their charitable inclinations by creating charitable trusts and charitable foundations.
