New York Senior Tax Consultant Alan Appel will present at NYU's 74th Institute on Federal Taxation, set for Oct. 25-30 in New York and Nov. 15-20 in San Francisco. The event, sponsored by NYU’s School of Professional Studies, is composed of various conferences with topics ranging from tax controversies to trusts and estates. This will be Appel’s third time presenting on tax issues at the conference.

Appel will address the U.S. tax consequences of a foreign person having an employee or agent in the U.S. on Oct. 26 in New York, and on Nov. 16 in San Francisco. He also will speak on structuring foreign investment in U.S. real estate on Oct. 28 in New York, and on Nov. 18 in San Francisco.

Appel is a professor of law at New York Law School and the director of its International Tax Program. As a senior tax consultant at Bryan Cave, he focuses his practice in international and domestic tax planning involving taxation of mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies and tax controversy matters.
