New York Senior Tax Consultant Alan Appel will present at the 2017 Private Wealth & Taxation Institute program at Hofstra University School of Law in New York.

The two-day program, May 24-25, provides guidance for real estate and business owners, attorneys, CPAs and financial advisers on a variety of wealth planning and tax topics, including private wealth planning for the changing environment and tax reform, fiduciary accounting, risk assessment and ethics. Appel will present on the panel “‘Hiding the Ball’ Anonymity, Tax Law and the U.S. as the World’s Favorite New Tax Haven.”

Appel is a Professor and Distinguished Practitioner of law and the director of the International Tax Program at New York Law School. At Bryan Cave, he consults on international and domestic tax planning involving taxation of mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies and tax controversy matters. He is a frequent author and lecturer on various tax issues.
