Boulder Associate Chris Achatz will speak at a CLE seminar presented by the University of Denver’s Privacy Foundation, April 28 in Denver.
Achatz will join the panel “The Privacy/AI Interface,” which will explore the practical challenges posed by automated decision-making when applied to data collection, use, disclosure, and security.
As a member of Bryan Cave’s Technology, Entrepreneurial & Commercial Group, Achatz advises clients on the licensing and transfer of intellectual property and high technology. He also provides legal solutions to businesses, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, regarding distribution and resale arrangements, professional service agreements, open source compliance, and data acquisition and commercialization. Achatz’s data privacy and security practice involves advising clients on industry-specific regulations and standards that govern the responsible use, collection and management of their customers’ personal information. His experience also includes developing company policies and drafting and implementing privacy- and security-related compliance, strategies and programs. He is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US).
