William Linkous, Jr. concentrates in fiduciary law, as well as tax and estate planning. He is a member of the firm's fiduciary litigation group. He has had extensive experience in will contests, will and trust construction and reformation cases, fiduciary litigation and legal malpractice and other types of fiduciary litigation. He has successfully argued a number of important fiduciary law cases in the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He acts as an expert witness and guardian ad litem in these areas and as a mediator in alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Linkous is a frequent lecturer on fiduciary and tax legislation.
Mr. Linkous was Chairman of the Georgia Probate Code Revision Committee, which produced legislation resulting in the Revised 1998 Georgia Probate Code.
Mr. Linkous was Chairman of the Georgia Guardianship Code Revision Committee, which produced legislation resulting in a complete revision of the Georgia Guardian and Conservator Code, effective 2005.
Mr. Linkous was most recently Chairman of the Georgia Trust Law Revision Committee, which produced a complete revision of Georgia trust law enacted in 2010.
