William Bavinger’s practice has concentrated on corporate and securities law for more than 30 years. His corporate practice includes the formation of new companies and joint ventures; mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations; spin-offs; and liquidations. His securities practice includes public and private offerings; annual and quarterly reports and proxy statements; proxy contests; and the defense of SEC and stock exchange investigations and civil litigation involving claims under the securities laws. During the mid-1970’s, Mr. Bavinger served as assistant general counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also served as law clerk for Judge Wade H. McCree, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
