Rodney Perry is a litigator who represents clients in a broad range of labor and employment and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies and in arbitration forums.

Mr. Perry’s employment litigation experience includes representation of management in defense of claims of race, age, disability, religious and sex discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and various common law claims.

Mr. Perry’s commercial litigation practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters and other business disputes, with a special emphasis on traditional real estate litigation and lender liability and financing litigation (e.g., matters involving wrongful foreclosure claims, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, consumer fraud and predatory lending claims). Mr. Perry is a member of the Firm’s Subprime Lending and Real Estate Litigation Teams. In addition to an active motion practice, Mr. Perry has litigated cases through trial and on appeal.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Perry served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Catherine D. Perry, United States district judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Select Representations

  • Secured dismissal with prejudice of multi-count lender liability and statutory claims prior to discovery
  • Defeated consumer fraud claims in an arbitration proceeding for a national financial services company
  • Obtained a directed finding for a manufacturer of consumer products in a multi-defendant bench trial involving claims of public and private nuisance arising from the development of a shopping center near a residential area
  • Secured dismissals with prejudice in various cases against a national retailer in litigation arising out of zoning, permitting and land use disputes related to multi-million dollar development projects
  • Served as employment litigation counsel for a 15-state area for national telecommunications company
