Robert (Bob) Thompson focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. He has been involved in many difficult and complex cases handled by the firm. In recent years, Mr. Thompson has been involved in a large number of cases involving misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference with contract by former employees and their new employers. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes involving claims ranging from breach of contract to fraud and anti-trust. He has defended cases involving claims of discrimination and violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Mr. Thompson also has defended a number of product liability claims in various jurisdictions for a manufacturer of automated newspaper production equipment.

At the University of Missouri-Columbia, he was a member of the Missouri Law Review and the Journal for Dispute Resolution.
