Policy Advocacy
We help clients in navigating governmental life sciences and health care initiatives, engaging in the political process on important life sciences and health care issues, securing coverage for reimbursements by governmental and private payors, and drafting proposed legislation. Our team has also shaped federal regulations set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Food and Drug Administration; national Medicare and Medicaid coverage and payment policies and manual instructions; Medicare policies established by the DMERCs and other Medicare carriers; coverage policies and product classifications established by the U.S. Departments of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA); and coverage policies established by state Medicaid agencies and state legislatures. We have extensive experience developing and implementing strategies for expanding public and private markets for new medical products, technologies and services.
