Philip Haleen, an American lawyer with over 25 years professional experience in Germany, concentrates his practice on both international tax matters as well as distribution and franchise law.
In international tax, he has extensive experience with tax treaty issues and German and international transfer pricing regulations. Additionally, Mr. Haleen regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions, start-ups in Germany, and mergers and acquisitions.
In his distribution and franchising practice, Mr. Haleen has been involved in establishing distribution and franchise systems in Europe, with a particular emphasis on the EU antitrust regulations that are applicable to such systems. He also has handled numerous product labeling and other regulatory issues with which non-EU manufacturers are confronted when exporting into the EU.
