Peter Hawkins’ practice concentrates on resolution of commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation and state and federal litigation, with an emphasis on complex litigation matters. He has represented manufacturers, financial institutions, retailers, and Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of commercial matters, including contractual disputes, business torts, antitrust matters, and real estate disputes. Mr. Hawkins has litigated in federal court, and in the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Hawkins practice also includes a significant amount of fiduciary litigation. He has represented personal representatives, trustees, heirs and beneficiaries in a wide variety of disputes involving trusts and estates.
Mr. Hawkins represents clients in a variety of pro bono matters in Virginia and the District of Columbia. While in law school, he had the opportunity to serve as an intern for the Legal Resources Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya where he trained paralegals in criminal procedure and property law.
