Patricia Werner represents clients in a variety of industries, including fashion, travel, publishing, entertainment, financial services and consumer brands, in connection with intellectual property matters.
Ms. Werner’s practice focuses on trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution and enforcement, including providing opinions on trademark availability, filing and prosecuting trademark applications, evaluating possible trademark infringements and sending cease and desist letters to infringers. She also counsels clients with respect to global trademark enforcement and protection strategies. In addition, Ms. Werner handles the preparation and negotiation of licenses and other intellectual property related agreements. She litigates cases involving trademark, trade dress and copyright infringement and counsels clients on intellectual property transfers. She also litigates trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Werner also does significant pro bono work.
