Patricia Brandt practices in the areas of general corporate matters, domestic and international business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other general corporate matters. She represents both buyers and sellers in stock and asset purchases and sales as well as mergers. Ms. Brandt also has substantial experience in employment, consulting, and licensing matters.
Clients for which she has significant responsibility include a leading luxury retailer, a global direct selling company, a Big 4 accounting firm, one of the largest US-based coal mining and processing companies, and a professional consulting services company. In addition, Ms. Brandt has represented an agricultural biotechnology company in mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Brandt also has significant experience in transactions related to distribution rights in the beverage industry.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Brandt was resident in the firm’s Kuwait office for one year as a member of the firm’s team which assisted the government of Kuwait with the preparation of its claims filed with the United Nations Compensation Commission as a result of the invasion and occupation of Kuwait by Iraq. Ms. Brandt was resident in the firm’s London office from October 1996 through April 1997 where she concentrated on European business transactions.
