Patent and Other Intellectual Property Transfers and Protection

Our attorneys practice in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets. Bryan Cave regularly works with technology licensing and technology transfers. We serve clients in numerous industries, including pharmaceutical, biotechnical (including research tools, diagnostics, recombinant DNA, proteomics, genomics, etc.), chemical (including metallocene catalysts, polyolefins, and novel methods for their manufacture), medical device (including various implantable devices), electrical and computer technologies (including business methods). We handle formal adversary proceedings involving these industries, including litigation at the district court, ITC, and federal circuit levels, as well as litigation before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences at the US Patent and Trademark Office. We also prepare and prosecute patent and trademark applications, prepare license agreements with respect to such intellectual property, and prosecute trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board of the US Patent and Trademark Office. We also routinely handle patent and trademark due diligence, opinions (including patent clearance, validity, and noninfringement opinions), and counseling related to all aspects of intellectual property.
