Timothy Davis practices in the Commercial Litigation and Labor and Employment Client Service Groups.  Mr. Davis’s litigation experience includes all aspects of the litigation process, including case strategy, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial.  Mr. Davis’s trial experience includes the successful defense of a breach-of-contract action in Boone County, Missouri, wherein Mr. Davis served as primary trial counsel.  Mr. Davis also assisted a team of Bryan Cave lawyers in the successful trial of a breach-of-contract arbitration between an aircraft component manufacturer and a major business-jet manufacturer.  Following a two-week arbitration before a panel of three arbitrators, Bryan Cave’s client was awarded a $28 million judgment, which was later confirmed by a federal court.

In addition, Mr. Davis has a broad range of experience representing clients in contract disputes, consumer banking actions, fraud and negligence actions, and other general business disputes.  Mr. Davis also has significant employment litigation experience in state and federal courts, defending employers against claims of race, gender and age discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Davis clerked for the Hon. Steve Leben of the Kansas Court of Appeals. While in law school, he served as the editor-in-chief of the Kansas Law Review, and as a teaching assistant to the legal research and writing program.  He also received nine CALI awards, which are given to students who earn the top grade in a law school course.  Upon graduation, the faculty awarded Mr. Davis the Samuel Mellinger Scholarship, Leadership, and Service Award.
