Gary Wolff has broad experience with real estate private equity investments and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and securities transactions.
Mr. Wolff is the co-leader of the firm’s Real Estate Private Equity and Joint Venture Practice Team and resident in the New York office. He represents both financial partners (primarily opportunity funds) and developers/operators in structuring and negotiating complex real estate transactions covering nearly every asset class, including office, retail, residential and mixed-use properties, hotels, casinos and land development. Recently, his practice has concentrated on distressed asset transactions, including the restructuring of $3.8 billion in secured debt for the special servicers in connection with the Chapter 11 cases of mall operator General Growth Properties, Inc.
Mr. Wolff also has an extensive track record representing both public and private companies in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Clients in this area have included technology companies, retailers, manufacturers, service providers, REITs, insurance companies and other financial institutions. In addition, Mr. Wolff represents both domestic and foreign companies in sophisticated debt and equity public offerings, private placements, financings and restructurings.
