Harold Lubell was the assistant attorney general in charge of the Bureau of Real Estate Financing in the Department of Law of the State of New York, a position he held after several years as assistant general counsel in charge of real estate at New York Life Insurance Company. Mr. Lubell is an adjunct associate professor of law at Fordham University School of Law, a position he has held since 1982. The former chair of the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association, he also is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American Land Title Association. He also has served as a member of the New York City Rent Guidelines Board since 1985. Mr. Lubell has written or co-authored more than 20 articles, many of them as a contributing editor of Real Estate Review.
