Campriello Quoted in Bloomberg

May 27, 2011

New York Partner Austin Campriello was one of several prominent New York area criminal defense lawyers to comment on Ben Brafman in an article that appeared May 26 in Bloomberg. Brafman is representing former IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Campriello was Brafman’s chief when they served together in the Rackets Bureau of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. He said that then Brafman, who was always willing to take on the worst cases, "was exactly like he is today, except I don’t think that he got his suits at Paul Stuart like he does today." He added that Brafman "was very savvy, had a keen sense of human beings and was completely unafraid in court." He added that the jury will think Brafman "is funny, but also is telling them a straight story, and that’s why he wins."
