Amberg Co-Authors Annual ‘Los Angeles Lawyer’ Ethics Roundup

March 13, 2012

Santa Monica Partner John W. Amberg co-authored an article for the March issue of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine that surveys continuing developments in California legal ethics in 2011, notwithstanding severe budget cuts to the state’s judicial system. Last year, California’s trial courts saw their budgets reduced by $350 million, leading to layoffs and dark courtrooms, and further cuts are expected in 2012.

Amberg is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Client Service Groups, and is chair of the firm’s Ethics Committee. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, product liability, and professional liability matters. He is a former chair and adviser to the California State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, and a former chair and current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee.
