Bryan Cave Obtains Injunction For Titan Partners, LLC in Copyright Suit
April 12, 2011
In a suit involving valuable copyrighted training materials related to tax practice strategies, Bryan Cave successfully obtained a temporary restraining order (following a two day evidentiary hearing); a subsequent order compelling compliance with the TRO; and ultimately a consent injunction on behalf of clients Titan Partners, LLC and Donald F. Chamberlin, Jr.
The suit, styled
Titan Partners, LLC, et al. v. USA Tax and Insurance Services, Inc., was instituted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Following an evidentiary hearing, the Court entered its restraining order in favor of Titan Partners with respect to certain copyrighted works. Subsequently, Titan brought a motion seeking to compel compliance with the TRO. Following argument to the Court, the motion was granted.
On April 12, 2011, the case concluded with entry of a Consent Injunction, permanently enjoining USA Tax, its agents, employees, attorneys and all others in active concert or participation with them, from infringing the copyrighted works.
