Bryan Cave HRO Lands Top Trial Team
August 13, 2012
Bryan Cave HRO announced today the addition of four partners to the law firm, all of whom will work in the Denver office and practice in the Litigation client service group. This addition marks one of the largest moves of lateral partners in the Denver legal market year to date. The entire group of new attorneys comes from the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck (BHFS).
The team coming to Bryan Cave HRO includes the current co-chair of the BHFS litigation department, Peter Korneffel, and the most recent past chair, Timothy Beyer, as well as top trial lawyers Amy Benson and Kathryn DeBord.
“Having such an exceptional and high caliber litigation group select Bryan Cave HRO for their platform is incredibly exciting,” said Colorado Managing Partner Randy Miller. “This nationally-recognized team is top-notch and highly regarded. They complement not only our existing litigation practice, but our community commitment and relationship-driven client culture as well.”
“Bryan Cave HRO provides a great platform for our clients, as well as for us,” said Timothy Beyer. “Bryan Cave’s local, regional and international reach will add a depth and breadth to our practice that we are eager to utilize. We are all very happy to be here.”
The team is well known for their expertise in complex commercial, intellectual property, telecommunications, energy, securities and antitrust litigation, including class actions and appellate work. They played a leading role in the landmark case of Bell Atlantic v. Twombly, which set precedent and is often cited during motions to dismiss.
This move is the most recent example of Bryan Cave HRO’s strategic growth strategy at work, Miller said. “Eight months into our combination, the firm is doing extraordinarily well. We are pleased to add this group to our already thriving litigation practice. In addition to their combined experience and expertise, this is a well-balanced team of top tier trial lawyers.”
“A firm like Bryan Cave HRO is a perfect fit for our group,” said Katie DeBord. “HRO has enjoyed a long-standing elite presence in Denver, and with its continuation as Bryan Cave HRO, it has firmly established its commitment to our community and will enable us to serve our clients in an enhanced capacity both in Denver and nationwide.”
