Firm noted in 'St. Louis Post-Dispatch,' on KMOX Radio
June 1, 2012
Bryan Cave was noted May 27 and 19 in the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch and May 18 by KMOX radio for the firm’s
pro bono representation of George Allen Jr. as he seeks to have his prison sentence overturned for the 1982 high-profile murder of court reporter Mary Bell in St. Louis. St. Louis Counsel Ameer Gado and Associate Dan Harvath represent Allen in collaboration with the Innocence Project. The case now is before Cole County Circuit Judge Daniel Green, who said he would decide whether Allen should be exonerated with the possibility of a retrial or left in prison to finish his 95-year term. “It seems as though we’re talking about minor details, but in a case like this that was based almost entirely on a confession these aren’t minor details,” Harvath told KMOX. He said Allen is mentally ill and his confession was coerced. Click
