Mariangela (Merili) Seale’s practice focuses on complex litigation and counseling, as well as intellectual property litigation in both federal and state courts. Her litigation experience includes contract disputes, trademark and patent infringement, unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, breach of warranty actions, and financial services and real estate litigation. Ms. Seale regularly advises clients on the availability of trademarks for use and registration and negotiates and prepares intellectual property agreements.
Ms. Seale services clients at the forefront of a wide variety of industries, including food and beverages, automotive, medical simulation, cell phones, electronics and computers, entertainment, manufacturing, home goods and music.
Ms. Seale manages all aspects of litigation, including pre-filing negotiations, mediation and settlement conferences, motion practice, formulating and executing electronic discovery plans, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, prosecuting and defending TROs, trials and appeals.
Ms. Seale advises airport concession operators on issues relating to federal and state regulations, certification of women/minority/disadvantaged owned businesses and corporate organization. She also has transactional experience conducting due diligence and drafting agreements, including joint venture and licensing agreements.
Ms. Seale also has experience with the adoption, use, prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and service marks.
