Megan Gajewski focuses her practice in international trade and antitrust/consumer protection matters. As part of her international trade practice, Ms. Gajewski counsels clients on matters involving the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. anti-boycott laws, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Ms. Gajewski assists clients with obtaining export licenses and agreement approvals from the Departments of Commerce, State, and Treasury, with commodity jurisdiction and classification requests, and with assessing compliance with export and defense trade controls, trade sanctions, anti-boycott, and anti-corruption laws and regulations.
Ms. Gajewski also handles antitrust and consumer protection issues, including data collection and security, and advises clients on matters relating to consumer protection investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gajewski worked as a legal intern in the Civil Frauds Division of the United States Department of Justice and as a judicial intern in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Virginia. She also served on the editorial board of the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy, and the Law, for which she was a note and comment editor.
